Why I Decided to Close my Blog of 16 Years

This photo was taken at Hakone Shrine's lakefront torii at Lake Ashi which leads to the Hakone Shrine. This was taken in Oct 2019.

I have been blogging since 2004. That's 16 years yo! And I still am in this blog. But I used to have another blog which I started when I was pregnant with my firstborn. I have made so many good friends from that journey.

3 kids and 16 years later, I decided to close it and only give access to my family members only.

Why? Because I think it's time. My goal was so my kids can read my journal.  Goal achieved!

Back when there was no social media, blogging was the in thing. I used to post every day, blog hopped daily and I even made some money from writing reviews! The money I got from the reviews were used to fund my passion for making handemade jewelry. It was the perfect arrangement for me. I have also made many dear friends who have evolved from what we call mom bloggers then to real life friends now.

Oh how times have changed now with technology. 1.66 million people on average log onto Facebook daily! I too am on Facebook everyday because it's an essential tool to my essential oils business. The best part is that it's FREE.

Anyway, I digress.

Do I regret closing my previous blog? Not ever.
Why didn't I close it earlier? I honestly don't know why it took me so long.

This blog will be more about me. I am a mompreneur. I own my own business. I am on a wellness journey which will take me to freedom and I want to be able to empower other women to do the same too if they really want to.

So one door which I was so comfortable with is now closed but I am opening new doors and I am very excited for this phase of my life as a mompreneur and at the same time juggle family life and that will all be journaled right here.

Here's to freedom! I welcome you to be part of my journey!
